Billing & usage
You pay for what you use, by the second. Nothing reserved, nothing hidden. Compute is billed only while a workspace runs, and a stopped workspace costs only the small storage fee for its disk.
Compute: per second, only while running
A running workspace is billed per second at the rate for its machine size. Power it off and compute billing stops in the same instant. There is no minimum, and no charge for a stopped box’s CPU or memory. Per-second rates for every size are listed on the pricing page.
Storage: while stopped
When you stop a workspace its disk is preserved so you can pick up exactly where you left off. That disk is billed at $0.10/GB-month, matching AWS EBS, until you resume or delete the workspace. It is a small fraction of the compute rate. Keeping a stopped project around is cheap, and deleting it ends the charge entirely.

Usage is drawn from your account’s credit balance as it accrues. Top up with a debit or credit card, or by wire transfer, and the Enterprise plan adds invoicing. When your balance runs low we email you, so workspaces are never interrupted out of the blue.

Stop when you step away
Compute is the bulk of the cost and it only accrues while running. Idle auto-stop powers a forgotten box down after 30 minutes, but stopping it yourself is always cheaper.

Delete what you are done with
A stopped workspace still bills for its disk. When a project is finished, delete it to end storage charges entirely.

Right-size the machine
Pick the smallest tier that runs your work comfortably. You can always recreate on a larger size when you need the headroom.
